"And I saw a new heaven
and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed
away; and there was no more sea.
2
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out
of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle
of God is with all people, and God will dwell with them, and they shall
be God's people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."
Revelation 21-1-3
"The
Lord leads all the people in the whole of heaven as though they were
single angel." Heaven and Hell 52 Emanuel Swedenborg
"When I despair, I
remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have
always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they
can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of
it--always." Mahatma
Ghandi

Guitar Sunday - June 22, 11:00 AM
This is a fun Sunday with a special guest
speaker Steve Sanchez.
Steve is the author of Spiritual
Perversion. This book documents his experience in a cult.
Steve is on the path toward ordination as a Swedenborgian
minister. He is now entering his thrid year of preparation.
It used to be a tradition in all Swedenborgian Churches that the 19th
of June was "New Church Day." Swedenborg had a vision that a
"Spiritual Second Coming of the Lord" had begun on the 19th of June
1770. He was told that from that day on, deeper levels of Divine
Love and Divine Wisdom were now available for all of humanity. A
"New Church," i.e. a new level of human conscious, was forming.
This "descending of the Holy City" is not a doom and gloom prophesy but
a belief that God is working with all people to create a heaven on
Earth.
Looks like we will have mucho plenty guitar players this Sunday.
If you don't make it to the camp fire at Tom Johnston's home on
Friday at 7:00 PM - show up for the 10 AM rehearsal on Sunday at
Dance Works. Tom's address for Friday guitar event is 12623 NE
110th in Kirkland.
Special MUSIC Bonus
THIS SUNDAY
l:00 PM - FREE Mini Concert with AMAZING Singers!
Kristin Ivarson, Delaney Berggren and Lindsey
Yonich will each be singing two songs including a favorite Beatles
tune.
Today many people have sensitivities to food. Any kind of good
food is
welcome on Sundays and will be eaten with
thankfulness. Avoiding
bringing anything with hydrogenated oil or
refined sugar is an extra blessing.

If there is to be peace in the world,
There
must be peace in the nations.
If there is to be peace in the nations,
There
must be peace in the cities.
If there is to be peace in the cities,
There
must be peace between neighbors.
If there is to be peace between neighbors,
There
must be peace in the home.
If there is to be peace in the home,
There
must be peace in the heart.

According to Snopes, the
"An English king was once so delighted with his meal that he knighted
the meat, dubbing it 'Sir Loin.'"quote is a mis-Steak.

Linda
and Lisa with their Dad singing a traditional family favourite "In the
Garden" last sunday. Their father, Bob Rudy, was visiting from Alabama.
After we sung happy birthday to Rylie Blue Robbins, Mr. Rudy shared
with us how they acknowledge birthdays in his church by saying... "many happy returns on the day of thy
birth. May sunshine and gladness be given. May our dear Father prepare
thee on earth for a beautiful birthday in heaven."
Congratualtions

"When we acknowledge that all of life is sacred and that each act is an
act of choice and therefore sacred, then life is a sacred dance lived
consciously each moment. When we live at this level, we participate in
the creation of a better world."

NEW
BOOK House of Wits by Paul Fisher
Fisher describes his boook as "a new
nonfiction book that reveals the fascinating complexities of one of
history's most brilliant, eccentric, and daring families.
The James family, ( NOT Jesse) one of America's most memorable
dynasties, gave the world three famous children: a novelist of genius
(Henry), an influential philosopher (William), and an invalid (Alice)
who became a feminist icon, despite her sheltered life, and struggle
with mental illness. Although much has been written on them, many
truths about the Jameses have long been camouflaged. The conflicts that
defined one of American's greatest families- homosexuality, depression,
alcoholism, female oppression-can only now be thoroughly investigated
and discussed with candor and understanding. Why would you
care?
Henry James was well known as an "unsystematic
mystical Swedenborgian.
"
Humor - SUBMITTED BY MARYLOU HARRIS
Little Zachary was doing very badly in
the public school so they enrolled Zachary in the local Catholic
school. After the first day, little Zachary came home with a very
serious look on his face. And went straight to his room and started
studying.
To her shock, when Zachary
brought home his report card six weeks later, little Zachary got an "A"
in every subject. She could no longer hold her curiosity.
She went to his room and said, "Son, what was it? Was it the nuns?"
Little Zachary looked at her and shook his head, no. "Well, then," she
replied, Was it the discipline, the structure, the uniforms? "WHAT
WAS IT ALREADY?"
Little Zachary looked at her and said, "Well, on the first day of
school when I saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they weren't
fooling around!"

Remember Marta
Lydia? She has finished her first term of law School in
Guatemala. Thanks to contributions toward her schooling she was
able to buy the books needed. We are sending her about $300.00

service come with an extra pair of shoes that you leave behind for Soles4 Souls. Even flip flops are
welcome. Over 300 million children around the world don't own a
pair of shoes. It is a sad irony that that is about the same
amount of footwear that was thrown into American land fills last
year. Soles4Souls.org takes our cast off shoes and gives them
to people who have none. Great idea and an expression of our
"doctrine of use."

"Viewed with one disposition, history
has so far been a horrible accumulation of oppression and suffering.
Viewed with another disposition, however, history has chronicled humans
discovering their own finer potentials and together mounting heroic
offensives to attain them - against monarchy, feudalism, slavery, Jim
Crow racism, apartheid, sexual subjugation, second class citizenship,
sexism, heterosexism, dictatorship, one party rule, capitalism, and
coordinatorism (calling itself socialism) - and seeking, in their
place, equity, justice, and freedom. The gains humans have made have
been steady and plentiful. Now a major leap is possible. Consistent
with past efforts, we can now attain fully liberatory goals, including,
I think, participatory economics and also alternative structures for
polity, culture, and kinship. We have only to make the effort.
